Winter '25-'26 MN Fatbike Events

After a couple of disappointing winters, this season is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Forecasts for the Minnesota area predict above-normal temperatures, but also indicate a chance for above-average snowfall, particularly in late January and early February.

It's time to get your fatbike ready! This season's calendar is packed with all kinds of winter events to get you out on the trails. Whether you're a seasoned racer or just looking for a fun group ride, there's something here for everyone.

Now's the time to start planning your calendar. Check out the event list below, and be sure to check back often—I'll be updating this post as more events are announced. Get your gear ready, because it's going to be a great winter on two wheels!

Below, you'll find a chronological list of winter fatbike events happening in Minnesota and just across the border. The schedule includes everything from high-energy races and laid-back group rides to gear demos and full-blown festivals.

Are you a race or event organizer? If you'd like your event to be included on this list, just send me an email. You can find my contact information on the contact page. Happy riding!

Big Changes Are Coming to the Blog!

For years, I've loved sharing my adventures and all things cycling with you on this blog. It's been a true joy to connect with so many of you and see this community grow. But, as life often does, things have gotten a bit busier, and I've found myself with less time to dedicate to the blog.

I was faced with a difficult choice: either shut down the blog completely or find a way to make it work. I'm so glad to say I've decided on the latter! I just couldn't bring myself to walk away from a community I care so much about.

So, here's the plan. From now on, the blog will focus exclusively on two of my favorite cycling disciplines: gravel cycling and winter fatbiking in Minnesota and just across its borders. This new, more focused format will allow me to continue sharing my passion while also freeing up more time for me to get out and ride.

The event calendars you've come to rely on will continue to be updated regularly, but they will now feature only these two types of events. It's my hope that this change will make the blog a better, more useful resource for those of you who share my love for tackling dirt roads and snowy trails.

Thank you all so much for your support and for being a part of this journey. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this blog and for all of us out on the roads and trails.

Happy riding,

Chris Chavie
