2020 MN Global Fat Bike Day Events

Global Fat-Bike Day is a worldwide grassroots campaign that started nine years ago to bring people from the fatbike community together to ride and make new friends.  In honor of Global Fat-Bike Day there are several rides scheduled here in Minnesota and close to the border in Wisconsin on December 5th that you may want to get in on.  I have complied a list of them so you can get your "fat on" and ride with others of the "well-endowed tire crowd".  New events will be added to this post as they become available.

*Due to the Covid-19 pandemic some events may be cancelled, postponed or rescheduled.

Big Ring Flyers are hosting their yearly Global Fat Bike Day ride from UW Wanderoos in Amery, WI at 10:00 am.  This will be a casual 14 mile ride on the Stower Seven Lakes State Trail.

Gather in the UW Wanderoos parking lot for a 10am departure to the Stower Seven Lakes Trail, heading to west end point and back. About 14 miles, SOCIAL ride, not a cardio event. This is NO DROP and open to all. Please invite friends and family. Respect the pace of the group.

Trailhead Cycling in Champlin has changed their Global Fat Bike Day COVID Re Brand ride to be in compliance with the Governor's Covid-19 Executive Order.  See new details below.

In respectful response to MN's COVID Restrictions we are Re-Branding our Global Fat Bike Day Event from a public group event to a PRIVATE Ride. Use Saturday December 5th as a day to take your fat bike for a solo or small (less than 6) group ride - post pics; share @trailheadbike for all of us to enjoy.
So to be absolutely clear on this:
NO Large Group Rides. No Meeting at Trailhead Plymouth or Champlin. Do your own thing and know we are thinking of you....Folks, this is just what we have to do. Stay Safe.
