Handcrafted Pogies by Stellar Bags

Stellar Bags is a small Twin Cities based company making handmade quality gear "For bikes and their people".  I recently got a pair of Stellar Bags Pogies and put them to the test with the recent stretch of cold weather we have been having.  They far exceeded my expectations for comfort, quality and warmth.  I had a pair of Bar Mitts that I had been using earlier this winter but my hands still became cold, even when wearing gloves.  Not the case with the ones Jacob from Stellar Bags handcrafted for me.

I ordered a set of black ones, but color choice is not limited.  There are 14 colors to choose from to match your bike or your cycling apparel.

Each one is handmade with 1000 Denier Cordura for waterproof, wind resistance and has an inner liner of fleece to keep your hands warm on the coldest of days.  The cuff has a reinforced stiffened collar making it easy to get your hands in and out.

These pogies come in one size and fit most flat bar set ups.  Simply slide them onto your bars and adjust the double hook and loop fasteners for the proper fit to keep out the breeze.  They can be used with or without gloves depending on the weather conditions.  I wear a pair of padded full finger gloves for the extreme cold and fingerless padded gloves when the weather is warmer.

If you do any amount of winter cycling you are going to need warm hands to keep your finger dexterity for shifting, braking and to be comfortable on those cold day or night rides.  Avoid a ride cut short because you can't feel your fingers anymore and invest in a good pair of Stellar Bags pogies that will last for years to come.

Jacob stands behind his work, his product guarantee covers what he makes for life and shipping is free inside the continental U.S.  Visit Stellarbags.com for more details and online ordering.
