Interested, Why Not Rent a Fat Bike? Minnesota Fat Bike Rentals

Winter cycling is ever increasing in popularity ever since fat bikes started appearing on the trails a few years ago.  Their popularity and sales have skyrocketed in the last couple of years and so have the number of fat bike races and festivals around the country.  Last year saw the first ever Fat Bike Summit to address concerns and discuss issues regarding their use in parks and forests from city to federal levels.  The IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) recently released their Fat Bike Best Practices to establish guidelines for their use regarding land managers, nordic & snowmobile trails and riding backcountry natural terrain.  More and more cyclists already own a fat bike or have become interested in this growing sport.

Bike shops around Minnesota have become more specialized in the fat bike market and have bigger and better selections of bikes, parts and accessories to meet the demand.  If you're curious about them, not ready to purchase yet but would like to ride for a day/weekend or would like to try out several makes and models before selecting the one you will purchase, fat bike rental is the way to go.  I have compiled a list of bike shops around the Twin Cites and one near the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails that have fat bikes for rent.

Penn Cycle & Fitness has three bikes for rent at their Eagan store and may have delivery and pickup service available for an extra charge.  Rental requests can be done online or by calling the store.
